Job Description

WJAC-TV has an exciting opportunity for a Sports Multimedia Journalist. Your responsibilities as a Sports MMJ will include reporting, shooting and editing sports and news stories, enterprising story ideas, developing contacts, as well as other responsibilities as assigned. A minimum of 1 year reporting experience is required.

Skills:

• Sharp news judgment
• Excellent technical skills
• The ability to work well independently
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license

Required Experience:

• Covering local sports events
• Preferred experience of reporting on a major Division I university
• Non-liner editing (on Avid a plus)
• Shooting, writing, and editing your own stories each day
• Some basic experience with anchoring and producing a plus
• Experience with live shots is required
• Experience with Live-U is a plus

Skills and Experience:

• Sharp news judgment
• The ability to tell an NPPA style story
• Excellent technical skills
• The ability to work well independently
• Must have and maintain a valid license and good driving record

Requirements and Qualifications:
